4020 Destroker

I ordered the AR96625 assembly to go in the front pump of my 4020. Turned out I needed the shorter one. Using pictures from the forum I cut the stem off, cleaned the cut end up with emery cloth and reinstalled it. It works fine, I can tell when it makes contact with the internal pump part, tractor now finally cranks like is should and then the destroker backs out for full hydraulics.

My question, is there some other difference in the 2 available that doing what I have done will cause a problem or is it going to work fine?

Thank you any advice.

The AR96625 destroking screw is for replacement hyd pumps with a serial number tag,
The AR33249 destroking screw is for the original type hyd pump with no SN tag.
As long as your hyd pump works I see no harm with the incorrect destroking screw installed.

The same part #s apply for a 3010. Just see if your hyd pump has a SN plate or not. I posted a photo of pump body with SN to help you look for plate .
