Dan and I left for Western Missouri last Thursday nite. He met me at my house when I got off work, loaded my gear in his truck and finally got out of Jackson Tn at 6:00p. It rained on us part way before sunset. We finally got to my sister and brother in law's farm about 1:30a . It rained later and we delayed our trip on up to Lathrop till about noon but, got a lot of photos (and sun) before we left for the day to go back to my sisters home in the town of Blue Springs. We came back the nezt morning and resumed taking photos and talking to folks about the displays. Dan said it was one of the best shows he'd been to, and that the folks at Lathrop were the friendliest of any show he'd been to and that if he absolutely had to say something negative about it, that there weren't enough old trucks (which I thought there was)

Me and my grand nephew Treyton, about to start driving a 1961 Cub Cadet that belongs to Orville Calhoon from Kansas. Treyton wanted to drive a tractor and I asked Orville who I didn't know if we could and he was very friendly and said "sure" and helped us get started. Treyton say's "Thank You" to Mr. Orville
Let me know what you think about the photos and offer any suggestions. Danny was already planning next years trip to Lathrop the first day. And we will make it if I am not completely broke and we do not have any transportation.

There were lots of pretty girls to choose from but I picked this one as the "Pretty Girl on a Pretty Tractor" I was told her name but forgot it. I should have taken notes.

Treyton and I rode on the shuttle and he sat close to me the whole time, then he was gone to the end of the seat. Her name is Jess. She had just gotten on.

I had photographed this little tractor a few years ago but, never met the builder or ever know if it ran? Well there is the builder and the little tractor starts and runs like a "B" not a "H" John Deere. I got my DVD camera and came back and videoed it and the F-20 which also starts and runs like a F-20. same rpm and everything!

There are 136 images in all and I post them from the bottom. I start with the very first and reply with the last and move forward. I'm going to quit for tonite and restart tomorrow nite.

This little truck stayed on the move so much that you couldn't see it up close. It moved around the show grounds all day working

Dan could step in here cause he knows more of the details but, These tractors will be sold at an estate sale and that's all I know

This is Oak St. down town Lathrop Mo. notice parking in the middle of the street. Shirley's Cafe is on the right. Dan and I decided to go into town to eat before we went into the show grounds. The food was good and the service was good also. Thank you Tracie for a good meal.
I took 304 images of the show and posted what you see here. the images were all good but there was to much detail to add here ( you'll think there is already to much detail ) I've got a couple of requests for images by email, so if you see any that you want just drop me a line and I will forward all that I have per that subject, full size (might take a couple tries) email is open

Thank You for posting your pictures to all of us here to enjoy. Lots of things there I would like to see myself there. I just might have to plan a trip next year to see the show. Thank You bandit

WOW! Thank You for the pictires. You did quite a job, and I enjoyed them all.

Is the Lathrop show one of MO's big ones? There sure looks like a lot of good stuff there, but I am suprised that there doesn't seem to be a very big crowd. At some of the shows here in MN, I have had trouble shooting pictures because of all the people in the way.

Thanks for posting a beautiful series of photos!

Thanks again for the pics Walt. I learn something everytime you post them.

I've never seen a self-propelled baler before...now I want one!

Was she really driving this tractor???? She does not even look like she can touch the brakes yet.

Yes she was driving the tractor. Her father was just out of the picture to our left and behind the rear wheel. Notice the handkerchief? I believe it was there for better grip for her when turning the steering wheel.
Both feet appear to be resting on the brakes right and left. Also I noticed her finger nail polish is John Deere green when I looked at the camera card.

I think the big one's would tie for Boonville (in the middle of the state) and Republic (near Springfield) Someone jump in here and correct me cause I want to know of bigger shows in Missouri.

Dan is (was a New Holland parts man) and say's he sold parts for a self propelled baler. I wonder if he knows what years they were produced. Link is to a video of a walk around to a self propelled baler. Notice that the seat is in a different place and there is one engine.
