What is the best way to hook the hydraulics up from a 4020 to a 148 loader? I currently have them plugged into the hydraulic outlet and have zip tied the lever into the float position. Is there a sump plug that I can take out and plumb the return to sump directly back into the transmission? would this improve performance of the loader?

If it's a early model 4020(hyd controls on dash) you can tee into pressure line in frt of brake valve and return oil line to rockshaft return line by hyd oil filter or a ported hyd filter cover.
