4020 3 point wont fully raise

I have a 66 4020 syncro. The issue I am having is the 3 point will not fully raise. The load and depth is set in the depth position. When fully raised the rockshaft arms are at about a 45 degree angle. On other 4020s i know these arms get almost strait up. Thanks for any suggestions.

there's a thingie under the seat on the right side when ur setting in the seat has 3 diff. settings urs must not be at the top one

Rear end of control cable is threaded and has 2 holes, so there may be some adjustment there. It's also possible to make some adjustment thru the (plugged) hole in rear. I'd consult a manual before removing the plug and sticking a (welded or securely taped to an extension) 9/16 inch socket in there and pushing the nut in to clear the roll pin and turning it.

To add to what thurlow stated normal lifting problems with JD rowcrop tractors is L/D conrtol settings out of correct adjustment. If one is going to attempt adjust through rear bung hole I think the complete adjustment procedure should be gone through first as per JD tech manual. It also could be that the control vales have too much clearance which would be taken care of in a total adjustment of L/D linkages.
