Just TOO much fun!

I posted a while back about the 1966 4020 PS gasser I bought from a retired neighbor. Well, I finally got it home and tidied up some spoiled gas issues and got 'er fired up and blowing snow after dark last night. I snapped these photos later, back in the shop.

That Hinicker one stage blower SURE makes the old girl BARK! I wish I would have had the camera along while blowing DEEP snow, with the middle of the muffler glowing RED in the dark and snow... even after I'd checked the spark advance and set the timing to spec!

I remember when the neighbor bought it, in about 1971, as the second owner, I was a kid of about 13 and WANTED it... now it's finally come to live at my place and keep my 1964 diesel PS company! Sometimes it just takes a while to get what you want!

The hourmeter shows 4200 hours, which I suspect is correct and original 'cause it mostly just blew snow from his lane for about 20 years and hasn't been run for over a dozen years.

It would cost most guys a LOT more money to have as much fun as I am having!

Dang, 4200 hrs.

From what I can see you gotta great machine
there. Those don't come along very often.

Bob, over my career in Heavy trucks, Tractors
I saw so much old iron that was like you describe and I had to learn to just walk away
unless i had cash in my pocket....

It hurts to walk away from them.

Sincerely, congratulations on your purchase.

Bob, Id almost leave Florida and come home if you let me borrow that lol

Good pics and yes FUNNNNNNN

What a sweet rig. My brother had one similar on a 4010D, and in 2 foot snow you can walk on it was tuff on the tractor. It was hooked to the front pto at 1000rpms, and wanted to bust the u joints. When you hit the snow it all has to blow out the spout right now, and at full rpms would blow over the power poles. It sure looks in good shape. Dan

It's a pickup, about '55, IIRC. It belongs to a neighbor and is at my shop for engine repairs. (Hurricane Six.)

Cab was built in the 70's by a fiberglass outfit in Devils Lake, ND. Used to be quite a few of them around here.

Thanks!

Let's just say it way as the low end of the 4020 price range and the snow tosser came with it.

If I may quote one of my daughters, O - M - freakin G!!!! My little walk behind snow-blower is my favorite power tool. You must have been some kind-ah hero in your last life. I'd like to see action pic's
