4020 3 point lift

The 4020 3 point lift works well enough to feed 5x6 rolls of hay. It will pick them up but not all the way. It picks them up quickly until the rocker shaft arms are at about a 45 degree angle with the verticle. When there is no weight on the 3 point lift the rocker shaft arms come up to nearly verticle. It is a console 4020 with s/n >201K. Also, the hydraulic pressure was measured by pluging a 0-3000 psi gauge into each of the two scv"s and both were reading slightly above 2200 psi. Any comments on this problem will be greatly appreciated.

How's the load/draft control set?

It has three settings, the lift is the same with the level in each of the three settings.

Ours is different in some of those settings. Likely just needs an adjustment. An I&T or JD service manual will guide you through it.

do you have it in the "D" position, if so and it doesn't raise all the way up, then you need to check your load control lever ajustment

Mike is right as L/D needs adjustment.

Check all the linkage rods to see if the one on the LD lever might be broken. I was thrilled when that was all the was wrong last summer.
