Positive ground 70 generator needs to be polarized, whats my proceedure? Would appreciate a simple reminder, don't do it very often and want to get it right. Someone had good explanation as to why and how about a month ago but didn"t write it down, but sure will this time. |

| | That Deere Manual info Pat linked to has a great explanation.......AND WITH PICTURES EVEN wooooo hoooooooo When you momentarily flash jump from BAT on the VR to its GEN/ARM terminal you should get a small spark. On some tractors that have a 4 terminal VR or on ones where the VR is hidden it may be easier to polarize by jumping a hot ungrounded battery voltage source (like BAT on the VR or the starter post where switch or solenoid is etc) DIRECT to the gennys ARM post, does the same thing. Polarize BEFORE starting of course John T |
