4020 GAS

is the scv leveres on the dash or on the right side of the seat?if it is on the dash it is an early 4020. but if they are on the right side of the seat it is a later 4020
 
that is not the serial number ,it should be on the back of the transfer case. try external_link that will tell you.
 
What makes you think that SNT-211R140319R isn't a valid 4020 serial number? It's a valid serial number for a 4020 Row-Crop with a gasoline engine and Syncro-Range transmission. If external_link is where you're getting your information about JD tractors, you're being sadly misinformed---for instance, JD made right around 200,000 or so 4020 tractors, yet external_link seems to think only 55,000 or so were made. Not what most people would call accurate information.
 
Thanks for the help. Any Ideas on way the starter sitcks in sometimes and I have to take the battery cable loose to get it to stop??
