Will a 4010 pump interchange with a 4020?

Yes it will, you will need to add a pump seal drain line unless your's already has one.

Depends on the body size of the pump.The 4020 used several different pumps depending on the gpm required..

According to JDparts.com all 4020's(SN-200.999) & (SN 20100-) except PFWD's which was very few used the same hyd pump part # AR47580

4020's (TRACTOR SERIAL NO. 258410- ) (PFWD) used housing part # AR70723

I think even the one for PWD will work It's a 4 inch pump instead of the standard 3cid pump, with a diferent elbow fitting(which can be picked up at any hydro. supply) even a 4430 pump will fit, most of them are the same whith the exception of the fitting size, ane cid ether 3 or 4 CID, I put a 4020 pump in a 2510 a few weeks ago, it had a 4 cyl. pump in it, they are the only ones that ran that little pump I think, they cost twice as much as the 8 cyl. ones, just because there aren't many of them, I kept the little pump back I'm going to go through it later to have on hand in case some one wants to keep one original some time.

I am pretty sure all the pumps up to an 8630 and 4440 (both are 4 cid. pumps) will work in a 4010. might have to change a fitting or 2. I put a 3 cid pump from a late 4020 ps into my 4010.Paul
