Friend of mine owns a 1934 brass tag A. Has a good block with good tag, 4 bolt frontend with no cracks or welds and good rearend. He's looking to part with it and was wondering what something like this is worth. Thanks, Charles |

If it's an early "A" $3200, they don't build them any more!!!! I got $2800 for a juck one on eBay about 3 months ago!

FWIW, I paid $2500 for my 34 A, a couple years ago. It is a complete original, engine isn't stuck, came with the original steel and cut-offs, power lift, and it still had the pto cover in the tool box. The only crack on mine is the on the lower radiator tank.

Not necessarily. It could have been replaced sometime in 75 years.

With the information you have given us we have to assume that at some point the tractor was given some significant updates, example: enclosed fan shaft. With the engine suck you have to assume that the block and maybe the head will need to be replaced as many times the cracks are on the inside and not visible until removed. Because I do not know how complete or original the tractor is, air cleaner, carburetor, steering wheel, etc., makes it harder. Also unstyled tractors have taken a significant hit in values at auctions as compared to previous years. With that said I would put the price at between $1500 and $2500. Kent

Charles - There are a couple of things that we would need to know to start. Is it running? if not is it stuck? Is it a very early GP tagged A or model A tagged? What kind of wheels and tires or is it on steel? I have a running 34 A that I'm asking 7K it runs and drives nice. Stuck and not running considerably less to restored 10K. I'm sure more folks will add advice. JimO

Hi Jim, He had told me it was a late 1934 brass tag model A. It has the 1/2" frame, enclosed fan shaft, 4 bolt frontend, F & H spoked wheels, nice shifting tranny, and part of the swinging drawbar. The motor is stuck, but it is not cracked or has been welded on. That's pretty much all I know about it. I do know he would like to sell it whole as a parts tractor. Charles
