Closed center. Tap the elbow by the brake pedals for pressure, and run the valve return to the transmission oil filter cover. The easiest way is to buy one made for a 2640, otherwise drill and tap the existing one. There is a possibility that a high velocity return oil may wreck the filter from a drilled and tapped cover.

As Tim S said 4010's are closed center. Closed center spool valves will work fine with your single acting lift cylinders.

The 4010 is closed center,,not sure what you got going on with the cylinders.
