Am wondering what affect a muffler delete pipe will have on a non-turbo tractor? I have a John Deere 2840 that needs a new muffler. Price is similar so am wondering if there would be any advantages to the delete pipe. Will it make the tractor louder? Thanks! |

| Simply DON"T DO IT ! Unless you want ringing in your ears 24/7 and like to say "HUH" a lot ! Maybe you would like to spend $4,000 for hearing aids a few years down the road. |

| Don't take your hearing for granted, use a muffler. When you grow old straight pipes (muffler deletes) come back to haunt you. |

| naturally asperated tractors have a differant sound straight piped than turbo, if you work the tractor much, a straight pipe will get old fast. i don't know where you are pricing your parts, but i can get you a kit to put the muffler above the hood for around $200 plus shipping, then it uses a standard sized muffler for future replacement. |
