I HAVE ONE OF THE OLD JD PTO TIRE PUMPS, BUT WHEN I PUT THE CHUCK ON THE VALVE STEM IT LETS AIR OUT INSTEAD OF PUTTING IT IN. I'M USING ONE OF THE NEWER STYLE CHUCKS SINCE THE OLDER ONES ARE NO LONGER AROUND. THE LEATHER CUP IS NEW IN IT AND ALL THE PARTS ARE INSIDE. WHAT AM I MISSING HERE??? |

| sounds like your tire is putting out more pressure than your pump. try using the pump to inflate an inner tube and see what happens. |

| Not sure, but I think the old chuck had a check valve built into it. |
