Does anyone have a picture of the hookup from a JD60 to a bushhog. I bought a used bushhog today and saw the way it hooks up to an old Ford tractor. When I got home I took a look at my John Deere and am a bit confused on what the hookup looks like. A pic of someone else's would be very helpful. |

| first thngs first. you need and over riding clutch for your tractor first. if you don't put one on the bush hog wil keep pushing you even with the clutch disengaged. |

| Really, dont you only need an overunning clutch when you have a transmission driven PTO, since a live PTO comes with an internal brake? |

| | You only need an overrunning clutch on tractors with transmission driven PTO because it is directly connected to your transmission which is directly connected to your drive tires. Live power is separtate and apart from your traction drive clutch, so when you disengauge it the tractor stops without regard of what the PTO driven implement is doing. |

| Here is a picture of mine. However mine may not be the best example, because the 3 point came with the tractor and it is some kind of modified thing from a farmall or Massey? However it does have quick disconnects on the three point like a International? It works good. The top link is 1 inch square tubing that has several holes drilled in for adjusting. Not a true JD 801 hitch however. |

| Thanks y'all for the help. That pic, Fred, makes me realize that with a little ingenuity I can probably modify to work. I'm a machinist/steel fabricator and have lots of machine shop equipment and materials at hand. If anyone else has more pics to share of the hookup from their deere to a bushhog, it would be even further helpful. |

| | buickanddeere, thank you. that site was very helpful. i've saved the pics and it'll be a start to modifying. that's quite an involved, perfect setup. if i could simplify just a bit i could make a lot of the parts at work. anyone with a simpler setup pic would still be appreciated. i'll take that promised pic of the rear of my 60 and put it in this weekend....but y'all are so well educated on these deeres that i'm sure y'all already know what i've got....lol. this forum is SOOOOOOOOOOOO darn helpful....love it. |

| well if its a three point style rather than drawbar type you will need to spent $3 - 500 on an aftermarket threepoint for your tractor if it doesnt have one. it probably dont. |

| You don't say whether or not your "60" has a three point hitch set-up on it. All the Fords do, so that might be your problem. Best of luck ! Jim B. |

| Jim, there is no 3 point setup on it now. I'm going to take a shot of it tomorrow and I'll throw it in here for y'all to view. |
