Can anyone tell me what kind and size bolt that bolts up the flywheel housing to the engine block. The john deere website catalog says 1/2 x 1 1/8 in long and it does not work. I put a 3/8 in bolt and it works. I need the correct size and grade bolt. |

| Are they Grade 2, Grade 5, or Grade 8? The Grade 2 bolts will have no marks on the head; Grade 5, 3 marks; and Grade 8, 5 marks. The torque will depend upon what they can stand.

| They are grade 5 bolts. These 3/8 x 1 3/8 are used to bolt up the flywheel housing to the engine. Need to know the Torque valve. |

| I checked everything that uses that same flywheel housing and for some reason they all say 1/2 inch bolts. I checked a different style flywheel housing and 3/8 x 1 3/8" bolts are used... grade 5 |
