just got a 4050. am used to a 4230. pto shaft snap ring on 30 series has two ends crimped 90 degrees so easy to pull out. am missing on this 50. did they break off of special tool necessary. op man shows nothing. are 30 & 50 snap rings same style ? any easy way to get out broken snap ring ? |

Snap ring is part# R38221 which is same as 4230 so someone must have broke tabs off of yours. |

| My 3255 has the snap ring with the two ends sticking out so I bet your's does too. When I got it they were broken off, don't know how people do that. I got the old one out with two or three small screwdrivers and a lot of tractor swears when it kept popping back in. There is probably an easier way. The new one is well worth the money if you ever change PTO shafts. |
