looking for a good loader tractor, 85 to 115 HP with MFWD. We don"t need anything fancy just reliable. What numbers would you suggest? |

| If you"re looking for a tractor dedicated to the loader, you might do well to look at a backhoe. With the bad economy, there are lots of good buys. They are built heavier than an Ag tractor and designed for loaders. The 410 JD backhoes come with 1 1/2 yard dirt buckets. |

| Get something newer like a 6400 or something. The older tractors like the 40-50-55 series have steering that will not turn near as tight as a newer 6000 or 7000 series. If turning tight isn't an issue, get an older one |

| Have a 2940 thats a loader tractor to me. Its probably 85 hp and is a heavy frame tractor that handles a loader with any bucket just fine. Power isnt an issue, its usually just above idle when loading and carying and not making much power. The mass of the tractor is the thing to handle the loader well, that and the MFWD for backing out with a full bucket. |
