4020 Diesel Powershift problems - update

I changed the hydraulic fluid, filters and carefully cleaned the screen but the transmission is still having problems going into gear. It seems to be better but not like it used to and I only drove it back to the barn, I didn"t run it for an hour or so and get it warmed up which is when it would get worse. Is there anything else that could be causing it not to go into gear at low rpm"s? I think earlier someone said something about checking the pressure, how do I do that and what should the pressure be? If the pressure is low does that mean I need a new pump or need to rebuilt the transmission? Where is the pump, does the tractor need to be split to get to it or can I get to it and replace it relatively easy? I don"t have the lifts and such to split the tractor at my place. Thanks for all your help. Phil

You can check the trans. pressure at the clutch valve it should be 165 PSI. To check it comprhensively you will need a power shift gauge pac, this hooks into the diferent shift ports and will let you check the pressure in each shift, which engauges 3 functions per shift,,this lets you know if a function or element has a leak, all this should be done "next" to give you something to go on with "before" you split..the trans pump is in the section behind the engine it will need split at the clutch houseing .
