4020 Diesel Problem

I have an early 4020 diesel that is hard to start and misses at high RPM. I am wondering if it is getting enough fuel.

Does anyone know how to check and set the fuel pressure.

Hard to start cold or hot? Do you get any smoke when you try to start it and if so what color smoke. Have you checked static pump timing?

It is hard to start when cold. Not much smoke comes out after starting. I have not checked the timing, and could use some help on that?

Injection pump probably needs rebuilt.
