How low should the lift arms go when down. I can only get it to about knee height from the ground in 'D'. It goes lower in L or LD but not much. The height when up seems OK.
The control lever doesn't start to move the arms down until I pull it past 4or5 on the chart.
It doesn't have the depth stop and stop lock bits on the dash anymore but I'm hopefully getting those this week from Deere. So I'll be taking the control apart to install this anyways.
So is this just needing adjustment on the pull cable?
From the parts diagrams, it looks like any adjustment to the cable is at the throttle valve end.
This is the first 3pt tractor I've ever had, so learned something new the other day. Put the implement and lever down at shutdown, makes it easier on the starter. It doesn't creep down too much over a couple of days but puts a hell of a added load trying to raise it up while starting.
I live in central alberta, 4020's with 3pt hitch are pretty rare here, most of em just have the wide swing drawbar. Thanks
