I don't blame them for wanting the max they can get, but a more fair way would be to put a reserve on said item. I have been to sales where the same person has bought the same item for the last several sales. Also the buyers premium turns me off in a hurry. What does most of you all think about it? I've always tried the "two bids and I'm out" system. If two bids won't get the item I back away. Sometimes I get in later if the price is still acceptable but there's no need in running it up on yourself. To defend the right of the free market, I once heard something that stuck with me.
