Ok I admit I act first ask later. I just bought a 12 row Planter that is made of 2 6 row full mount 7100 planters on a 530 front folding transport hitch. I have seen these hitches used to put two drills together but never planters. Looks like a great unit. Any thoughts on these? It won't meet my needs so I will either be piecing it out or letting it go as a whole unit. Wish I could have found one of these a few years ago. |

| The 530 hitch looks like a good unit. I was going to use one to build a bean planter but chickened out at the last minute. I was afraid it would not handle the weight of 24 units on 15" spacing. What are you going to ask for the 530 with out the planters? |

| I built one almost like-only mine is is an 18 row-two nines. I used 7300 finger units with Kinze bean meters worked good-planted both corn and beans in 20 in. rows. When fertilizer went to $1000/ton we went back to 30 in. rows wih dry fert.- Giant step backward! Still have the planter-we plant our beans with it. Still have a 9 row 20in. Deere corn head if anybody is interested. |
