How did that show up missing...? Possible, but I doubt our old 116 would still be around Plain City, Ohio anymore.. Leroy 12-20-2012 12:35:08 69.88.205.38 Report to Moderator	Re: JD 116W baler in reply to BushogPapa, 12-19-2012 21:36:03   A friend that did a bunch of scraping was cleaning up a bunch I had and he axidently mistook them for scrap as they were not on the baler, he is not that famiular to realize what they were. He cleaned out a pair of New Holland balers that I had that I had bought both as parts balers to make one out of but never did as I had quit farming. These John Deere W116 balers, one the early style and one the late style I had taken to several shows but have not for a few years for reasons including health. I am laid-up from a complete shoulder re-construction.. have to keep my rt arm immobile for another 5 weeks (7 weeks total).. Sure glad I waited to go to the Dr until I had all the fall work done..!! Going to take until Spring, to get this back..! Anyone up there be interested in my 630 LP..?? Make one Heck of a good deal on it...90%+ done... Hope you find a chute for your baler... I don't think I ever saw a baler with the capacity they have..Dad figured if conditions were right, it took 5 to 6 strokes to make a 65 lb bale..(maybe heavier than that)..!! About 9 or 10 per minute.. My folks shower JD that it was possible to splice the wire and not have to re-thread, to replace coils... Keep in touch..! Ron.. [Reply]  [No Email]
Leroy 12-20-2012 17:54:05 69.88.205.38 Report to Moderator	Re: JD 116W baler in reply to BushogPapa, 12-20-2012 14:12:09   Just last January I had my right shoulder operated on for torn rotator cuff and was june before I was doing anything and about august when I was actually be close to normal. Good luck with your shoulder. These balers I have never used, the first one and the older model I ran about a dozen bales thru when I bought it and the rusty wire broke and never did try to figure out how to get them back threaded. Both my balers have the wagon hitch-bale shute made by the Holden Bros. of West Liberty and I had the older one down there one year and the one remaining Brother at that time and his foreman could hardley get over the fact one still existed with their decal on it. I think that is the last year they exibited there, think they have since passed on. They are the ones that John Deere coppied the shute from but they never thought about trying to patenet it. Would not mind having that tractor but no money and at my age now of 69 I am starting to get rid of my things. What I would be interested in if you run across any in need of repair is the steel wheel hay rakes or the Deere or McCormick horse mowers.
