It's funny you say the 041 was prone to problems LJD. I was wrenching on saws back when they were new and we mostly had simple carb issues, filters, stuff like that. My impression was and still is that they were a nice solid saw with low breakdown issues. Of course, I was seeing Huskies like 50-1 compared to Stihl since we were a Husky shop. That's probably mostly why I didn't see a lot of bad ones.

| Stihl bored the 041AV over sized & called it the 041AV Super & you couldn't keep that saw together! It shook itself apart every day. All I ever ended up for spare parts before 6 months were up.
