I know location affects price. Last one I watched sell was a good heavy duty 10 shank and it brought at least $1000 a couple months back. With so much machinery being scrapped supply has gone down around here and prices are now going up and I am sure it is because of supply being decreased. I would imagine a new 10 shank would run close to 10 grand. So personaly I would be happy to get a good one for a grand. One thing about it there is very little to replace on a chisel not a lot of $$ to put one back into good shape.

| | A new 10 shank is closer to 20K than 10K. Tillage tools have really gone crazy in cost of new. I think you would have it at a buy at $400-500. It will scrap that high. |

| | I'm a couple miles from Kow, basically any chisel plow with 2 inch shovels under 12 feet is scrap price 'here' any more... We are in the land of 2000 plus acre farmers, with a couple of little guys playing around on the leftovers..... A decade ago I bought a Mowhawk 10 foot from UFC for $900 because I needed one and only one to be found, 2 years later I got one at an auction in better shape for a parts machine for $150. Mages consignment sale down the road from us will have 2 or 3 a year at their summer sale, $300 to $600 would get them all.... I should probably get rid of mine, as I got a Glencoe Soil Saver this fall, but I'm a collector, hard to part with junk sitting in the fence row. Farm auction stuff seems to come here to die. :) Wife will have a grand scrap iron auction sale some day!!!! --->Paul |

| Hi Paul, Well, if I out live you, maybe your wife will have an "antique" sale with your equipment and then I can buy some. LOL Thanks for all your input, I appreciate that. Kow Farmer (Kurt) |

| I bought 12 shank Bushhog, 3point hitch chisel plow a few years ago for $850.00. It was in extra nice condition. I sure gives my 1456 a load when I hit a clay bank. I think mine has 4 in. twisted shovels. |

| Kow Farmer, sounds like the plow needs a little attention with a welder to get the transport lock working. Since I'm not familar with that plow take this with a grain of salt.KEH |

| Well if I do purchase it, I am going to figure out what the deal is with it. I can honestly say that it probably hasn't had the best care in the world either by the current owners. Kow Farmer (Kurt) |
