Topic: NH 55 rake gearbox problems

Got the box off and opened up the gears are meshed and both turn, but the shaft that comes from the small gear to the star wheel does not turn. Does anyone know if it is a roll pin or a half moon key or something that makes them turn together. I would guess that the big gear has to come out to get to the little gear. Thanks

| This shows 2 choices depending on the S/N.I put a new shaft in my 258 today.Really lucked out finding a after market at Messicks.Local dealer said no after market was available.Good Luck.
