 I still like the drop spreader, they seem to do a more even job of spreading the material. i have a big one and it does a great job, just a little hard to take down the road to the other garden spots. as it is 12ft wide. however, you must do a very good job of cleaning the spreader out and oiling it down when you complete the job. these old spreaders do not like fertilizer being left in them.
