Hello All,

Last year I bought a used DMI center dump gravity wagon cheap, or at least I thought it was cheap. The 13.50 x 16.1 diamond tread tires are coming apart at the tread and the tire dealers want $1500 for a new set. Has anyone ever put 11.0 x 22.5 used truck tires with new wheels on these wagons? I can get a set of wheels for $700 and I have 4 very nice tires to put on them. Would high center of gravity be an issue you think?? Thanks for any input!
Ben, Olivet Michigan

14L-16.1 Implement tread tires wil fit the same rims, and will probably be cheaper.

Thanks, that is awesome! I figured the truck tires would be better and it would save me a good chunk of change.

Thanks again!!!

It's unanimous so far! I bought an Unverferth gravity box a few years ago and it came with some odd flotation tires. I see in the book where rims for truck tires are available. You can be assured if I have trouble, truck tires will be the answer.

Truck tires is the way to go. Just use a common size. Then all will be well.

Put the truck tires on! I have a Triggs 750 bu center dump wagon-I 22.5 super singles on it and I am glad I did. No more flat tires!!! It used to have the 16.1 imp. tire on-used to blow them-would ruin rim,tire--$400 shot.
