Have tried every source I know of and can not locate the lining for the needle brake. Does anyone have a clue who may have them or a alternative lining?

Also here is the big questions with the needle brake off. I was turning the flywheel CCW not knowing my son had tripped the knotter. Now I cant move the plunger forward until it stops and the needles are just entering the bale chamber. I know I have to re time every thing. But were do I start to get the plunger are needles back in home position? Are what should I do at this point? I have a manual but it doesn't cover this. Any help I would be very thankful for.

Keith

Thank So Much! Jim

Also Evans has brake lining for the 14T and 224 May be possible to make them work. I thought about some type of thought gasket material, see what NAPA has. They would has the rivets I know but may be able to find something that will work. Just a Thought, which can be dangerous at times :)

Yes I meant plunger head safety stop and now that I've thought about it turn flywheel forward which would be CCW not CW. As long as there's no hay in bale case nothing should hit needles when PH stop is moved out of the way.

Thanks for the help Guys really thought I had messed up big time. Larry I just happen to run up on this place Evans Implement Company To be honest I think they sold the last one to me. But the still may have one if you call. They still have brake lining listed for the 14T and 224 I think.

If you have hay cleaned out of bale chamber then you should be able to pull PH stop out of bale chamber and then turn flywheel by hand CW and needles should travel to home position. Unless a chain has been removed or chain has enough slack to be able to jump teeth baler should not be out of time.

Where by chance did you find the linings for that price? I need a set for my 24t also. I am having a hard time finding them.

Just grab the needle arm and pull it back to home position. Should lock there and then you can continue your cycle.
