We have an old Brillion LSM Model Triple Gang Pulverizer. Pulling it out of the grove a couple months ago, dad didn't realize that the grass and weeds grew up through it, and so when he tried to pull it out, the two main end castings that contain the bearings broke. I am wondering if there is a way to get ahold of those anymore from Brillion dealers, or do I have to find a used pair from a junk Pulverizer?

Picture of part that broke (it is #6)

Thanks for your help,

Matt

I read the post you're talking about... and I have one question. When you said "I forget the heat", are you talking about forgetting to preheat the part?

Thanks,

Matt

When we broke the ends on the old Dunham and that was 40 years ago Dad welded them with an old 110 volt 70 amp spiegel with what ever rod we could get at the time that welder would handle, just an amature welder and do not knoe if cast steel or cast iron and rough looking but still holding. Knew nothing about preheat at the time.

I agree with Leroy, you can weld this material, I posted photos on tool talk some time ago, had the back roller separate bolt came loose, and I had no choice but to weld as we needed to finish before rain, this material welded easily, a good welder should be able to do like Leroy said

I may have one NOS frame,I"d have to check. You may also try Fry"s Machinery near Milton.Pa. @570-546-2280.Not sure if "The Depot" or "Dealer Parts Network" in Racine,Wisc. could be of help on Brillion parts, you would have to check/order from a dealer. You may be able to acess "The Depot" inventory online to see/find out more.

So, emailed them like suggested, and they no longer are made...

My next question is, does anyone have 2 that they would be willing to sell?

I can be reached at mattroh@hotmail.com

Thanks,

Matt

I tried to get parts for my sure stand. The guy told me since Landall bought Brillion out they discontinued several of the old parts.I basically can't get any for it.We had all but one gear that's worn but not shot. So I guess when I need to replace parts I'll just scrap it.

Several years ago replaced a broken piece on our Brillion seeder.

Photobucket

Contacted Brillion Iron Works and they referred us to a regional distributor in our area.

Contacted the distributor and they referred us to a local tractor dealership that ordered the parts.

Hope this helps.
