Let me guess- you need the big apron chain drive gear because the teeth are stripped? The IH 200 uses type "S" apron chain, not 67 or 67H like most other spreaders. People unknowingly replace the S with 67 and next thing you know apron chain teeth are stripping.

Yeah, that's what I was talking about. The APRON chain, bed chain as you call it, is a type "S", If someone replaced it with a 67 or 67H then the apron chain will not match the drive sprocket and will climb up on the sprocket making the drive gear strip the teeth. Most folks can't tell a 67 from an S without comparing them side by side.

If the drive gear is stripping teeth, check that. You'll see the "bed" chain climb out of the drive notch in the sprocket and up onto the hump on the sprocket. Sometimes only one side will do it and then the chain runs crooked too. If that's happening you either need to get an "S" apron chain of switch your sprockets. The teeth in the drive gear can be revamped with an angle grinder and some patience. Worked for me.

If you have all the pieces a good man should be able to braze it back together. It can be reinforced too. Finding a good used part isn't a huge problem as there are lots of 200's around. Getting the thing apart is the problem. I've located 3 over the years and so far every gear has broken trying to get it off. Maybe if you can find one and get the owner to let you cut the whole axle off to get to the gear and then heat the whole thing and put it a press. I can tell you gear pullers and propane torches aren't enough. Getting the wheel off to get to the gear is enough of a chore, by itself.

Are the notches wore off? I wonder if the feed wheel could be made. I think I know of someone that could make it but just guessing from the New Idea, Avery and John Deere spreaders I have had without seeing the part.

If you have all the parts a GOOD welder could repair it again. Or a person that can make gears that I know of could probably make a new one if you would send him the old one as a pattern.

Sorry I missed your post. I was looking for the apron drive sprocket. I did as I posted and put on 67H chain when the old "S" apron chain corroded away. Busted a lot of teeth on the sprocket. Now I'm changing the apron chain axle sprockets to 67s. My big concern was the apron drive sprocket where I busted off a lot of the notches. But, I've got it fixed now. I found I could use a 4" angle grinder to re cut the notches. Did the same thing on my NH 329.

THanks for the offer anyway.
