Anybody know much about a Model 509 Ford baler who made them and what not I have never seen one in our area, a company called Wenger in Meyerstown has one for sale looks in pretty good shape for its age and I don't know how old that is. |

| I agree about Wengers being over priced, years ago I bought a set of weights for my JD40. Local guy said $150 for the set, happened to be at Wengers to look at a tractor (hated to leave empty handed)asked if they had a set, guy says $150, I'll take them. Totals me up for $300, never mind. |

| | In the mid 50's ford had three models. 150 (509) 250 (504) 350 (506) 509 was the smallest one. All came with various options. PTO / Motor driven. Twine / wire tie. etc.. If sku 69082 at wegners is the listing, I say it's WAYYYY over priced. $4-500 tops. I run a 504 and see one come up for sale every 6 months or so (spare parts) that range between $4-600. This is the first 509 I have seen come up for sale in ten years. Good luck finding any parts for it. |

| Neighbor had an old New Holland that made the small 12" bales. He hated the thing- "just that many more bales to handle"- he called his baler "the dwarf". |
