Is there any way to determine the year it was made from serial number? When did the graphics change from a plain yellow "New Holland" on the bale chute to the big yellow stripe with New Holland inside of it? When those were made the square balers sold like hot cakes. I would bet people were trading in stationary balers left, & right! Could You imagine the joy of a 50 year old farmer getting away from a stationary at that time! We just cant appreciate it. The Indiana State Fair is coming up, & every year there is a farmer who brings a JD 730 Dsl. He puts a copy of the original sale slip on the tractor. He Paid some cash, & traded in some Holstein cattle to the dealer for that tractor. Thats Alien to us today! [Reply]  [No Email]
