New Idea paint colors

I just bought a New Idea pull picker, model 311 I believe. The galvanized tinwork is great, but the green and orange is rusted pretty good. What color green and orange matches New Idea colors?? Thanks, Chris

Meadow green,AC orange? Close enough.

I know the Orange is called Bittersweet. I am just redoing the second New Idea hay rake. I had some Case Orange That I thought looked close so I used that and some Oliver green. When I ran out I found a Rustoelum (sp) that is Forest Green and cann't tell from 10' away the Oliver green from the Forest Green. On the second rake I found a bit of the orignal Orange between to pieces and that Case orange is very close but should have just a bit more touch of red in it.I could buy the Bittersweet but cannot afford it, After I ran out of the Case paint and needed somemore I got some of the Rustoelum Orange and used that, the way I did it even though it is too light a orange it doesen't look bad to me. I only use the spray cans. The first rake I sold to a dealer and it was only on his lot for less than 2 weeks.It was the old 3 bar that still had the type of teeth that went over the bar and I sold it for $350, The current one is a 4 bar and not sure what I will get for it when I deliever it next week. Have 2 or 3 more New Idea rakes all on steel to rebuild. There is a different rustoelum that I am going to try for the bittersweet that has a bit more red in it. Allis Orange is way too light in color.

I'm working on a New Idea hay loader, using Oliver green and kubota orange. Not sure if that is correct but it looks good to me.

I said Rust-oleum forest green, - it is actually hunter green in the ultra cover paint.

I've got a couple cans of NI green and orange. Probably contain lead. Oliver green is close but not a match. Found an orange engine paint that is pretty close to the orange bittersweet.

Thanks! I was thinking Oliver green and Case orange but wasn't sure, guess I'll try those first. Didn't New Idea have a off white color also???? Chris

Was just in TSC yesterday and NO Oliver Green or Case Orange on the shelf. I wanted to get a current price on the paint but none to get a price from. A few other colors but not many, some as high as $7.99 a can. The rust-oleum that I am using in both green and orange is $3.44 a can. The Oliver and Case paint that I had was several years old that I got when Quality Farm & Fleet and Central Tractor closed there doors for good.

Martin-Senout 4977 New Idea Orange - Ditzler 3255 or Sherwin Williams 6780 for New Idea green.

Or you can get spray cans from AGCO for the New Idea green and Orange, although that might not be quite accurate to the old colors.
