I have an old Brute 6 brush hog and the clutch has started slipping, so I am in the process of removing the clutch assembly. I removed drive shaft and the keeper on the front side and tried to slide the clutch assembly off, but it won"t come. Do you have any suggestions what may still be holding the clutch on the gear drive shaft? Thanks, Steve |

| My slip clutch has a couple of 1/2" bolts that go through the slip clutch housing and through a notched part of the input shaft of the gearbox. They keep drive shaft from sliding off the input shaft Could yours possibly have a pin or pins that hold it on? |

| not familiar with this bush hog, however in some cases splined items spin and get twisted on the shaft. you may have to twist them to line things up before they'll come off. |
