Hi all,

As I understand it (from help given on this forum), this went on the front end of my grandparents old farm tractor. It's a straight blade and you can see a picture at http://craftm.echoes.net/equiptment

Free to good home. I don't want to see something useable go to scrap.

I'm in Lake Ariel, PA (zip is 18436). I have a backhoe and can load it if anyone wants it.

looks like it attaches at the rear axle and the lift mechanism attaches to the rockshaft, and raises by a cable.

There's some pics here:

No idea what tractor it went on but I know my dad's parents had a JD B and a 40 back in the day so I'd have to say one of those. Unfortunately, my dad passed away about 2 years ago so I can't ask.

from the looks of it,wouldnt take much work to make it fit a ford or fergie...i built one years ago for my ford 2000 that was real similar except i used a small electric winch to lift blade.
if it was closer i'd be loadin it up now.

Do you happen to know what make it is? I'm thinking a JD but not sure. We have a blade that goes on the 3 point that we're keeping that's a Ford. It's currently on our 50 something JD 420 tractor but that tractor will be getting sold (just don't have use for it and don't want it sitting) so I need to learn how to get the bucket off the backhoe (Kubota) and learn to put 3 pt attachments on there.

If your Kubota came with a backhoe there are good chances it came without any 3 point hitch parts as they generaly are not used with a backhoe. I think that blade might have been a homebuilt unit but there are also some parts missing.

Nope, definitely have the 3 pt arms with the backhoe - they store in a compartment almost under the operator's feet tho my dad stored them in the barn so they didn't get all yucked up. He ran 3 point stuff on it from time to time, it's just that I don't know how to. Never got the lesson on how to take off the backhoe (the book makes it seem easy but I don't know) and how to operate the PTO properly. We have a 7' bush hog, a york rake, the ford blade and also an AC sickle bar mower I'd like to use on it but just don't know how at this point.

Someone suggested I keep the blade since you can always use it but with having the Ford 3pt blade, I just don't see a need for it.
