Be very, very careful about adding to or modifying factory design - assuming the manufacturer's liability could be a fast way of ending your farming career! [Reply]  [No Email]

If a friend was helping you out and tipped the machine over and was injured, all of the liability would be yours. Dick's Welding would promptly file bankruptcy and the manufacturer would simple declare that is was an altered machine and the company has no liability (proven in many court cases).
