| I had to smile when I seen the front page picture in the Producer about that. Noticed a White 5542 was trailing the big new combines by quite a ways. Hard to believe they were one of the biggest combines available back in the 60's. Still one of the best combines made in my opinion. |

That was quite the photo alright. The 5 and 5542s certainly were popular here in Sask. I see a 914 pull type IH in the same photo. Also a couple of 7721s like mine. Rather impressive how the guy put a 25 foot swath through the old 428. Must have been a good even swath. |
