How will a 9500 handle an 843 corn head? Thinking of buying a Kinze planter and going to an 8 row. Any input is appreciated. |

| I ran a 9500 with a 843, mostly kinda level ground and irrigated corn, any where from 150 to 235 bushels,15 to 24% moisture, in dryer corn up to 4 miles per hour, i had the combine set just right and would check sieves and walkers every few hours to see what kind of job, it had the combine walkers full all the time, did a good job on the corn, the combine also had the big motor in it, rod |

| Bigger outfit up the road aways runs a couple 9500 and 9510 sidehills with 844 wide corn heads and have for several years dont have any issues that i have heard even in some pretty steep hills and typically very good corn, but i know they say that they do pull hard and change the oil in the reverser gearboxes very often. I even saw a guy pushing a 12 row around with a 9500 down on the bottoms this year, havent heard how well that worked out for him yet though! |

| If you have flatter ground you will be fine. The limiting factor will be the sieve and chaffer area. The cylinder and walkers will handle the head fine. Watch in real good dry corn you can over load the clean grain elevator. I mean 16-18% at 200 BPA corn. Other than that they where rated for a 8 row narrow. |
