tjiniowa 09-29-2012 05:27:53 63.152.60.77 Report to Moderator	Anyone know a trick to do this, my steering chatters like there is air in the system, it has done this for over a year since I had to replace the hydraulic lines that run up the steering column. The header and stuff all work fine, and the hydro, but the steering chatters at full throttle, I change filter every fall and it dont' help. The only thing that makes it go away is if I hold the header up switch at the same time I am steering. This is electric over hydraulics [Reply]   [No Email]

Also, at one time IH had a field installed fix for the 14 series steering chatter. They replaced I believe the elbow at the "oil in" port on the steering hand pump with a restrictor elbow. This lessened the oil flow to the hand pump and lessened or eliminated the chatter.   [Reply]  [No Email]

If that dose not do it then loosen one line at a time right at the steering cylinder. Have someone hold the steering wheel against the stop in the direction that makes oil flow out the loosen line. When the oil it flowing without any air bubbles tighten the line. Then do the other direction. If you still have trouble that you may have a system relief valve issue. So of the combines have a separate one from the steering. Yours could be bad or set wrong.   [Reply]  [No Email]
