I have a 4400 JD combine, wanting to go to a 4 row narrow head, very hard to find a 443 head at a fair price. There are a lot of gleaners, nh,other brand heads around much lower price. Anybody had any luck putting a non-JD head on a JD?? |

| Friend of mine ran a MF 43 on his 4400, worked fine, but you need a Bish adaptor to make it work. But, since he already had the head, the Bish setup was cheaper than a JD 443. Probably some of those adaptors around, since almost nobody changes the brand of head from one combine to another these days. Other heads might work, this is the only one I know works, used to run the combine for him on corn. |
