cleaning fan on 4420 keeps flying apart. i have put 3 in. everything new. jd dealer cant seem to figure it out. they suspect that the spot welds on the new fan bracket are bad. could there be anything we are missing. sometimes, but not always there is grain in the fan when it busts. the original fan was riveted on. the new ones are all spot welded. |

| Any chance you have a problem w/ the clean grain elevator being overloaded and grain overflowing into the fan housing? |

| When I was young dad had a 4400. From time to time the cotter pins in the upper clean grain chain drive sprocket would shear. I remember the fan would fill with corn and run out the sides. We never broke a fan up but if the new ones are poorly made it might break them up. Maybe you should try a used fan from a salvage yard, the old stuff was just built better. Those fans should not break that easily tho, they just don't turn that fast. |
