I have a Craftsman weedeater about 5 or 6 years old. It has got to where it is hard to get it to take fuel and run good. If I run the choke a little closed it ok. My first thought was the muffler was getting carbon. I took it off and it is ok. The air filter is ok. I checked the fuel filter and it is ok, I think, it is nice and white and no crud on it. I put new spark plug in it, no help. It just plain acts like it is lean fuel. It has those carb. adjustments that you can't turn. Is there a tool to get to it to adjust the carb? |

| If carb a walbro or similer type, remove carb & disassemble, remove & clean filter screen in carb body, same probably plugged with dirt/varnish or buy a rebuild kit for carb & replace screen & diaphrams in carb,as far as needle adj tool, depending on style of head on needle, these show up singly on ebay or as a 5pc set(not cheap) |

| Most likely needs a carb cleaning and kit. There is a rubber diaphram that gets old and stiff and a couple of little flapper check valves that also get old and do not work too well. |
