Hello, I am in the process of replacing the Ogura coil on my tractor. I removed the armature (the outer portion #7)and rotor (inner portion next to the coil #4) and the coil (#2)with no issues. I took the parts to the bench and stacked the armature face against the rotor. I ASSUME the two faces should touch. I have a small gap, about 0.040", between the two. The bushing (#6)in the armature that goes around the crankshaft is preventing the armature from coming in full contact with the rotor. My question is this; should the faces be in full contact when the pto is engaged? If yes, then the armature bushing needs to be pressed a bit farther into the bearing. I have uploaded a jpeg of the pto assembly taken from the manual. |

| No, they should not be touching. There should be a little bit of clearance. |
