I also have a Yardman, Sixteen/Sixteen decal on hood(sixteen hp & sixteen speed, four selectable, four variable). Model# 14918-9 A179D, Serial# 41-07-7362.

I've sent pictures and specs to MTD/Yardman, they reply they never heard of nor did they make such a tractor.
Also looking for info and or parts.

Seems that a few years ago, lowes and TSC both sold yardman. If you do a yardman search on google, you may find something or another. Yardman was made by MTD from what I understand.

I got a phone #(800-228-9683)for MTD/Yardman from Hance Distributors that payed off, got info/book for tractor and mowing deck for @ $8.00 including postage. It's funny the origanal (1979) price listed on the book is fifty cents. Thanks to Chuck and the board. It only took three days to get them, and the good old boys at Hance Distributors took @ fifteen minutes of time to help me out, all the while knowing I was not purchasing anything from them. There still are some great people out there, and people like these are the ones that make others want to be great people. Pass it on!!! Thanks ED
