Hi I need some info/advice on a lawn tractor purchase. I have come across a Craftsman lawn tractor that is 15hp, has a 43 inch mower, manual tranny and has 4 wheel steering. The owner says the tractor is about 5 years old and was sold in the US and not in Canada. Anyone know of this model or offer any more info about it? Jeffrey |

| I have a craftsman lawn tractor with a hydrostatic transmission. The hydro has gone bad and sears want $624.00 just for the part. I have removed the hydro and opened the case. All the gearing is good and it appears all that is wrong with it is the pump assembly itself. Does anyone know of a rebuild solution or possible where I could purchase just the pump assembly? Help I'm desperate. |

I need an ignition swith and another part the repairman said was a "solid state ection". This machine has a magneto. Does anyone know where I can go for parts? |

| Yes, about the 15hp all wheel steering. I have one that I purchaseed in the U.S. As a matter of fact I need to find a place to purchase new bearings in the deck. |

| Jeffery, That lawn tractor needs a watchful eye as far as greasing to keep the steering tight. Otherwise its kinda neat. You can almost trim around a telephone pole with it. I think the source on it is NOMA. 536.xxxxxx. Hope that helps, Dennis..... |

| A good friend of mine had one of these. It is older than 5 years old. He bought his in 1993 and was a year old model at that time. They stopped making them around this time. I believe there were built by AYP (american yard products) who also made Ropers at that time. If you can get the model number it should start with 917.xxxxxx. The 917 indicates it was built by AYP. Also you can got to www3.sears.com and type in the model number to see what parts are availiable. He only kept it for 3 years, but I don't remember him having any trouble with it. |
