The bracket you're looking for is probably pn 234961 which is discontinued/nla,get mod/spec# off eng id tag,goto link below & lookup mod/spec# in kohler eng listings to confirm this is correct pn,if it is try napa & ebay,if come up dry at both places,do a goggle search for kohler 234961,click on link to ereplacement parts,still lists-$50+shipping.

Went back & looked at pics you posted,with the exception of starter being loose on block,possible cause of bracket cracking is worn starter drive teeth & ring gear on flywheel.

By the way-did you come over to my house & take jacket I wear in shed?-sleeves look same color/condition as jacket I wear.

That starter isn't off a '67 110 unless, the engine was changed at some point. '68 and later 110's had the starter mounted to the block. As for finding one check Ebay.

looks like a kohler? If it is you can get them at NAPA stores or Ebay

Yes. Thats correct. Kohler 8hp engine.
But NAPA stores would carry this type of starter?

Yes take it to NAPA with the Model # and Spec # they'll get you a new starter.

I would get a used starter. The teeth do appear worn as joe mentioned.
