| LOL.....I guess I didn't clearly say what I really meant. What I meant was that many of them wind up being smashed and patched up with sheet metal and screws and look pretty ugly. Yours looks very nice, by the way! I would say your tractor looks to be worth repairing even if you did not want to take on a total restoration. Were you able to find any remnant of a model number on the engine? |

| Oh, I see about the grill. Yea, its really not a bad old tractor. The engine number is all there, I just neglected to put it on here. It's a KOHLER 241AS, SPEC# 466740, SERIAL # 5002707. I have the deck but the spindle housings are in pretty bad shape, inside and out. I have a lathe and could probably line the bores but that's a bunch of work. Haven't really looked for replacements yet. Just wanted to see if I could find a (inexpensive) hood. |

| A kohler K241AS is 10HP, has a special oil pan (I believe on some of those Fords, the engine oil pan is part of the front axle, which makes it special). The S means its electric start. |
