What would be a reasonable price for a restored 130 Case. It has a deck with it that has not been restored but looks OK. Has AG tires on the rear and rib tires on the front. Runs excelent and has very nice paint. Show quality restoration. Thanks |

| What ever you feel comfortable in paying for it. There isn't a Kelly blue book published price guide like there is in the auto business. It depends on how bad one wants to own or sell an item. If it has AG tires on back and rib tires on front that is a plus for me. With AG tires on back it makes it a garden tractor that can be used for tillage, turf tires are good only for lawn use unless one puts a lot of weight and chains on the tires. There are a lot of (OVER) restored machines out there. I would rather look at one that has been painted with a rattle can, than one you can see yourself in the reflection and is roped off where people can't get close to it. The machines didn't come from the factory that way. |

| In the last year, I've seen 2 nicely painted 130's, with correct parts, sell in the $800 range. I do not know how extensive of restorations they had. But they looked very nice. |

| | A 130 with ags on the rear and tri-ribs on the front is NOT a "show quality restoration" because Case never supplied them that way. To me, that would be my first tip-off that the Seller wasn't serious about doing a true restoration and I would be scrutinizing every aspect of his work. Without a full set of photos, there is no way for anyone to assess whether this tractor is complete or true to original. What documentation does he provide with respect to the work on the engine? Have you checked the tag numbers on the engine to see if it is correct for 1965? I would value at TRUE show quality 130 at $2000.00 but the second the restoration work deviates from original, the value falls dramatically. Non-restored 130's that are complete, straight, original and with an engine that will rotate easily by hand can be found. They can be had for two or three hundred. If you have to strip this tractor down to the bare frame again in order to fix all the mistakes made during the previous restoration attempt, then you may as well start with an untouched tractor in that price range instead of rewarding some guy for his poor workmanship. If you have photos or wish more information..... then send me an e-mail. |
