I have a 1980 Deere 400 with a Kohler 20. It starts really rough and runs about the same. I have no idea what it could be but seems like it gets hot rather quickly. Any help would be appreciated. Please email me with any your ideas. Thanks much. KIRBY

| Make sure your engine isn't plugged with crud under the fan shroud. I had a mouse test under my Wards shroud and it was getting hot when plowing. I have a picture of that nest somewhere. Also make sure your engine isn't running lean as this will cause an engine to overheat. Check the timing to make sure it isn't running late. Hal
